Luc Boivin in short

Luc Boivin has been professionally involved in music for the past 35 years, first as a percussionist, and later on as music director, producer and teacher.

Luc has gained fame on stage, as well as in recording and television studios, with most of Quebec artists and many international performers such as Gino Vannelli, André Gagnon, Michel Cusson or Alain Caron. From playing with the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec or the Grand Ballets Canadiens Orchestra, to group Uzeb, or as a musical director on the famous french TV show "Beau et Chaud" on Télé-Québec, Luc has demonstrated his versatility, his creativity and his deep involvement in the Quebec percussion world.

A true percussion magician, Luc Boivin has played on more than three hundred albums, hundreds of TV shows. His live performances brought him on the most famous stages of Quebec, Canada, USA and Europe.

His music work has not been limited to performing as a percussionist. Luc has also acted as producer and composer on many albums and shows, and as musical director for artitsts, TV shows and many important public venues.

Luc currently teaches percussion at the Université du Québec à Montréal where he generously shares his knowledge and artistry with students, exposing them to different musical styles where percussion is at its best.
