The teacher

Luc Boivin has been teaching since 1991 at the Université du Québec Music Department and at Cégep St-Laurent from 1991 to 1996 and in 2000-2001.

At Université du Québec, Luc has taught percussion instruments from different musical cultures of the world to more than 40 students. He also created a percussion ensemble devoted to world music, « El Extasis », with whom he recorded an album.

Besides his regular teaching activities, Luc is frequently invited to give clinics and workshops. One of the most important was the worshop he gave in 2002 at the Kosa International Drum and Percussion Workshop, along with otehr famous clinicians such as Joe Morello, Gordon Gottlieb and Ndugo Chancler.  Luc also gave clinics offered by his two sponsors, MoPerc and Sabian.
